City of Tucson is hosting household hazardous waste collection events once again.

Volunteer at a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event

The City of Tucson’s Environmental & General Services Department (EGSD) is looking for volunteers. They are bringing back their Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event, but instead of it being at one location, they are moving it around the city.

It will be the second Saturday of every month from 8 a.m. to noon. The first event is January 9th at the Eastside City Hall at 7575 E Speedway Blvd. The locations of the following events as well as the calendar will soon be released.

EGSD will be collecting household hazardous waste, E-waste, and documents for shredding. You would be helping to take in some of these items. We are keeping these events contactless so volunteers will be grabbing items out of residents’ vehicles. Masks will be required.

Interested?

Anyone who has questions or would like to volunteer should contact chad.dyer@tucsonaz.gov with their first and last name, email address, and phone number. You will be getting information about training once you sign up.
