ADEQ Border Programs and Tucson Area WQARF sites
Our October presenters will be Edna Mendoza and Tina LePage, with ADEQ discussing the status of ADEQ Border Programs and Tucson Area WQARF sites. Edna Mendoza Edna Mendoza is currently the manager of the Office of Regional and Border Assistance with the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ), Intergovernmental and Community Affairs Office. Most of the Office of Regional and Border Assistance team is based in Tucson, however to better meet customer needs some members are based in Nogales, St. Johns, Flagstaff and Yuma. The office has a contingent of community liaisons for assigned counties and a contingent that addresses cross-border environmental issues. Edna has been with ADEQ for over 20 years and has represented the agency in various multi-agency groups such as the Good Neighbor Environment Board, the Commission for Environmental Cooperation Government Advisory Committee, and the U.S.-Mexico Border 2020 Environmental Program. Edna has a B.S. in Biology with a split minor in Chemistry/Physics/Math from the University of Arizona. Tina LePage Tina LePage is the Manager of the Remedial Projects Section with the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality, Waste Programs Division. She has been with ADEQ for 14 years. She is responsible for the Voluntary Remediation Program (VRP), Brownfields, the Federal Projects Unit (EPA Superfund and DoD sites) and the Water Quality Assurance Revolving Fund (WQARF or State Superfund). |
