Planting these trees in appropriate locations and supporting them with harvested water can provide our homes and neighborhoods with shady, climate-resilient trees, while saving precious (and costly) drinking water. Ann will provide tips on the best desert trees to plant, as well as where and how to make optimum use of harvested water to help Tucson grow into a greener and cooler community.

Ann Audrey is a U of A graduate with a Master of Science in Hydrology and Water Resources. She also has a Master of Science in Nutritional Biochemistry along with multiple Permaculture Certifications.

This presentation and discussion is provided in partnership with Tucson Clean & Beautiful, the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management, in addition to Mayor Regina Romero’s Tucson Million Trees initiative.
