ADEQ is providing notice in accordance with Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R18-12-264.01, that a Corrective Action Plan (CAP) associated with a release from an underground storage tank (UST) system is being considered for termination. The CAP that was submitted on June 22, 2012 by Environmental Technology, Inc. (EnTech), and approved by ADEQ on March 13, 2013, is being considered for termination under A.A.C. R18-12-263.02(J).
Leaking UST Case File No.: 1180.01-.03
Facility ID No.: 0-005628
Pinal County
Facility Address
Bob’s Shell and Food Mart
981 S. Arizona Blvd.
Coolidge, AZ 85128
The decision to terminate the CAP is based on the fact that corrective action goals are no longer applicable due to current site conditions. The soil vapor extraction has become asymptotic, groundwater elevation onsite has dropped leaving the air sparge wells dry and inoperable, and EnTech will be collecting groundwater samples to demonstrate groundwater plume stability through ADEQ’s Preapproval Program. EnTech will be collecting data to support R18-12-263.04 closure onsite within the next year. ADEQ will ensure that future actions conducted at this location will adequately address corrective action goals and result in closure of the case.
