EXTENDED COMMENT PERIOD | Availability of Proposed Remedial Action Plan for Park-Euclid WQARF Site

ADEQ is extending the public comment period for the Proposed Remedial Action Plan (PRAP) for the Park-Euclid Water Quality Assurance Revolving Fund (WQARF) site in Tucson, Arizona, for an additional 30 days until Oct. 30, 2020 [Arizona Administrative Code R18-16-408(C)]. The PRAP documents the results of the remedial investigation/feasibility study (RI/FS) and identifies the proposed remedy and its estimated costs.

Information

The area of the site subject to remedial action is located between 8th Street to the north, 14th Street to the south, Mountain Avenue to the east, and Euclid Avenue to the west in Tucson. Contaminants of concern at the site are tetrachloroethene, trichloroethene, cis-1,2-dichloroethene, trans-1,2-dichloroethene, and vinyl chloride.

The proposed remedy for the site includes soil vapor extraction and monitored natural attenuation. The estimated cost to implement this remedy is approximately $3,850,787 for a period of 30 years.
