ADEQ will be hosting a webinar to discuss the Federal Navigable Waters Protection Rule. The webinar will discuss how the rule affects the surface water in Arizona and resulted in changing how Waters of the US (WOTUS) would be determined. ADEQ staff has developed a screening toolkit that is helping us better understand the impact of potential discharges to our waters.
A proposed framework has been developed by ADEQ for ensuring the surface waters in Arizona not covered by the new federal rule will be protected.
