Biohazardous Medical Waste Rulemaking Workshop

Biohazardous Medical Waste (BMW) generators and transporters have communicated to ADEQ over the years that updates are necessary to make the process of handling and transporting BMW clearer while remaining protective of human health and the environment. The current COVID-19 epidemic has highlighted the need to make these changes now.

ADEQ is seeking input from stakeholders to identify aspects of the rules that are working well and potential issues to be considered during rulemaking.

On Thursday, November 5, ADEQ will be conducting its first workshop on a Biohazardous Medical Waste Rulemaking.

This event will be held through Zoom: Register >
