This position is available for remote work on a full-time basis within Arizona (including virtual office arrangement).
As an Environmental Science Specialist (Community Liaison), you will conduct research or perform investigation for the purpose of identifying, abating, or eliminating sources of pollutants or hazards that affect either the environment or the health of the population. Using knowledge of various scientific disciplines, may collect, synthesize, study, report, and recommend action based on data derived from measurement or observations of air, soil, water, and other sources. You will help bridge gaps between community needs and ADEQ programs, interact with the public and assist with solutions. This position reports to Tucson but the ideal staff member will be working remotely from a SW AZ County community, and will support Yuma, La Paz and Western Maricopa.
